Little League Baseball

Section X Champs
5/21/05 - My son had a little league game in Chateaugay recently so I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures of some of our future stars.  It is worth watching a few innings to remind yourself that baseball is just a game and that it is supposed to be fun.  More Pictures.  I am trying a different format with the pictures.  If you get a chance, let me know what you think.

5/31/05 - Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team on a great season.  They lost their playoff game Monday in what Mr.  Lang called a "great game".  The lost 4-3 against an undefeated team.  We are very proud of the whole team.  As always, if anyone has pictures they want to share, get them to me as soon as possible. (click to enlarge picture)

May 24, 2005 - Section X Champion volleyball team.  The Varsity Volleyball team won their second straight Section X title this week beating OFA in 3 straight.  Nancy Charland was on hand for some pictures of the winning tem and of Jennn Soucia's selection at the Baldwin Award winner.

4/29/05 - Just a bit inside.  Bruce Leavitt leaps out of the way of an inside pitch in Friday's first game of a double header.  The Bulldogs struck early and often and opened a big lead in game one.  When I left they had an 11-0 edge.  Paul Harrigan was shutting down the St, Lawrence hitters along with solid defensive play.  I may have stayed longer but it was windy (as usual) and VERY COLD.  The team did win the opener but lost the second game.  I did  get some great shots of the team.  Maybe next time I get to go Mr. Lang can do something about the weather.

4/25/05 - Kelsey Nemier (left) gets set for the serve in a recent home game where she dominated the floor along with her teammates to remain undefeated.  The JV team has also played well this season and is undefeated.  This week all the spring sports teams will see action including Amber Swanston (small insert picture) behind the plate for the Varsity softball team.  For now, here are some pictures from Varsity softball team as well as a few more snapshots from the volleyball teams.  Hope to see you at the games this week!  As always, send in your own pictures and I can post them here for you.  Welcome back to school!

3/25/05 - If it is spring it is time for volleyball.  The girls are off to a strong start already.  I scanned a few pictures from the Telegram since I have not been to a game yet. Click on the image to enlarge.  There are also a few pictures (like the one on the left) on the Sports page from Nancy Charland.  Both teams won again recently and are well on their way to defending their title.  Stay tuned for baseball and softball news.

4/12/05 - Nancy Charland sent in a bunch of great photos from a recent volleyball match.  Enjoy.

4/12/05 - Softball / baseball pictures?  If you get to a game and take some great shot, please send them in.  Thanks!

3/23/05 - Spring sports are here.  That means it is time for some snapshots from Nancy Charland of the volleyball teams.  Don't forget to check out the links at the top of the page for schedules and more Section X news.  (click to enlarge the photos)

2/3/05 - Alex Lamica borrowed Mr. Breault's camera for a few great pictures of the last girls JV home game.  Nice Job!

1/31/05 - Mrs. Saiff was at the recent home basketball game and snapped a few shots of the senior recognition ceremony, the undefeated team and many of the boys cutting down the nets.  As a special bonus, members of the band played a special national anthem for Tomo Kono.  We all congratulate the team on a great regular season and wish them well during the playoffs.  And I thank Mr. Saiff for these pictures.

2/2/05 - Here is another batch of photos sent in by the freelance specialist Nancy Charland.  Click Here

1/27/05 - Kristi LaBare  was honored at last night's home game after scoring her 1,000th point playing basketball.  The team won easily 60-24 with Kristi hitting a lay-up with two minutes to play in the 4th quarter that put her over the top.  The boys also won their game against Chazy last night 59-27.  Congratulations to both teams and to Kristi.  ...Someone sent in pictures..these great shots come from Marie

Final Four Soccer Page
11/23/04 - For those of you who enjoyed the soccer pictures, you are about to be disappointed.  I was at the Lady Bulldog basketball games tonight and tried to take some pictures.  The gym at Brushton-Moira is very dark, which makes taking pictures tough.  I have a few, but they are not great.  I will get some shots at home games where the light is much better

The "Charland Corner"

11/14/04 - More pictures from Nancy.  She was at the awards night and the quarter final game.  Here are some more images from our freelance photographer.

11/8/04 - She loves her digital camera and following the Bulldogs.  Nancy Charland has come through once again with many great pictures of the final games and playoff excitement.  You can see all of her submissions HERE.

State Finals - Here We Come!!!
11/13/04 - Your Lady Bulldogs are headed to the State finals next weekend in Binghamton.  They won their Saturday morning game against Willsboro 3-1.  It was 2-0 after the first half.  The Willsboro team snuck a VERY rare ball past Amanda Demers but that did not scare the Bulldogs.  They turned on the heat and never let their opponents back into the game.  With about 15 minutes left they scored the 3rd goal and put ever more pressure on the offensive end.  The next game is Friday, November 19 at 11:00 AM.  I took so many pictures that I divided them into 2 section.  Part 1  Part 2

Fall Sports Awards Night
11/8/04 - If you think the election season lasts a long time, then that means you have never heard Mr. Lang at awards night.  He was the final coach to recognize his team and pass out awards. And due to my own mistake, there are only a few pictures HERE THEY ARE.   All the coaches thanked the parents, the board of education, Mr. Calnon and Mr. Harrica as well as the players for some very successful seasons.  Everyone joined in to wish the Lady Bulldogs luck in the State quarterfinals.  And Mr. Calnon was thanked, by way of a standing ovation, for his many years of service to sport in the Chateaugay area as well as the entire state.  It was another great night and another reason to be proud of CCS.
