It is possible that

2/25/07 - Section X Champions
once again. The CCS Boys' basketball team were victorious over
the weekend and were crowned Class D Section X Champs. Mr.
Floyd Spoor was on hand and performed some amazing magic with this
video camera and software. He sent in this incredible slip of
some of the highlights. I know you will love this. Be
warned...it is a fairly large file and is formatted to open in Windows
Media Player. You are going to love it. video

11/27/06 - I received some
information about recent CCS graduate Kristy Harrigan and her soccer
prowess in college. Kristy attends North Country Community
College and was recently named their player of the month. She was
also named the MVP and was selected for First Team All N.I.C. honors
at the midfield position. Check here
for more information. Way to go Kristy. If you have more
news about CCS alumni, please send it in.

- Ms. Fregoe volunteered to take pictures at last Friday's away
game in Madrid Waddington. It was a thrilling Lady Bulldog
soccer game that saw our girls come from a 1-0 deficit after the
first period to win 3-1. Thanks Ms. Fregoe for the many
wonderful shots of the away game. Playoffs are on their way
and we all wish the best for both varsity soccer teams as well as
the volleyball team. Pictures

10/16/06
- In the 9 & 10 year old division of soccer, the
championship game was played in Malone but it featured both
Chateaugay teams. It was cold and some hail fell to the ground
but both teams were in great spirits when they reached the final
game of the weekend tournament. In the end the Wood and Wicker
team won 3-0. I have only a few pictures due to the inclement
weather. Pictures.

10/16/06
- Another win for the modified boys team at home this afternoon.
The Madrid Waddington team put up a good fight but Coach LaPlante
was able to put a fresh team out on the field and the few subs on
the Mad-Wad team ran out of steam. The boys won 4-0.
When I left the varsity boys were up 2-1 and were playing
well. Pictures
|
|
10/11/06 - As
promised...a few modified pictures from both teams. They
traveled to Malone this
afternoon and put together another sweep. The boys won 3-0 and
when I left the ladies were also looking at a shut-out. I was
in the middle of both fields trying to capture the action. It
seemed like I was always watching the wrong field. The wind
whipped around the field making it difficult to control the
ball. Pictures

10/11/06
- More youth soccer pictures means more indication that the Varsity
programs will be in great shape for years to come. We have
shots from the 7-8 year old division as well as the 9-10 year old group.
There are some team pictures here as well. Thanks to the Cowan
family for the images. Pictures

10/10/06-
Another easy afternoon for the Lady Bulldogs. When I left
they were up 4-0 and the ball rarely went past midfield. The
ladies were pounding the defense all afternoon. They look great
heading into the playoff season. Sorry modified girls...but I
expect to catch up with you at the Malone game tomorrow. Pictures

10/7/06 - It was
sunny and warm for a change Saturday morning as two undefeated 9-10
year old soccer
teams hit the field in Chateaugay. The best part was that both
teams were from Chateaugay. The match pitted classmate
against classmate and friend against friend. It was a well
played game with a lot of excitement. I was waiting for this match up
to take pictures since every child in the photos would be from
CCS. In the end one team had to win and it was the kids in
blue by a score of 2-0. Great game kids. Here is a large
batch of pictures. I know I did not get everyone in but I
followed the ball and got quite a few. As always, if you have
pictures to share, send them in. Pictures

10/5/06
- It took only a few minutes before the first of many goals were
scored this afternoon. The Lady Bulldogs beat the visiting St.
Regis Falls teams in modified and varsity action. When I left the
varsity team was up 5-0 and looked to slip in a few more. I
lost count in in the modified game after the 6th goal. The
teams look for a bit of rest over the long weekend. I managed
to squeeze in a few pictures. This file is a bit large and I
hope there is something here for everyone. Pictures

|
10/5/06
- It was a tough night for the Varsity Volleyball team as they faces
Massena and suffered the first loss of the season. I was there
for the first game and can attest to how tough the opponents
were. Every time either team made a mistake the other team
capitalized on that mistake. Both teams played well.
Those who do not think that the sports needs athleticism should have
been in the gym last night. I did manage to grab a few
shots. Enjoy. Pictures
|
9/25/06 - I have
a simple request. A soccer game where the weather is nice and
warm. I know there have
been a few of those but lately the wind and rain have taken their
toll. Today the modified boys tied 1-1 and when I left the
varsity team was headed to overtime. I have a few pictures from each
of the games. Tonight was hard. It seemed like every
time I switched from one field to another the action was on the
opposite side. The games were exciting. Pictures

|
9/25/06 - I was
sent another batch of pictures of Chateaugay Youth Soccer.
From what I hear the youth teams are doing very well this
year. Thanks to the LaBombard family for these
snapshots. Pictures

9/22/06
- Another batch of photos from Emily Jackson, my new intrepid roving
photographer. She was able to get a few pictures from last
night's victory. Thanks Emily, and to all who have been
picking up the slack with picture. There are a number of home
games coming soon and I should be at those. Pictures

9/21/06
- Once again this year the CCS volleyball teams are enjoying
much success. This week they beat Brushton-Moira in straight
sets. Both teams remain undefeated this year and the varsity
squad looks strong enough to take the Section X title again.
Emily Jackson was on hand to take some snapshots from the games and
I was able to watch a few minutes of the JV game. Thanks
Emily. Emily's

9/11/06
- Another sweep for CCS soccer. This time the Modified
team won their Monday afternoon games against Franklin
Academy. The ladies won 2-1 and the boys shut-out their
opponents 4-0. I was able to get a few pictures before the
battery died on my camera and I admittedly have a few more shots of
the guys than the girls, but I will make it up soon. For now
enjoy the pictures of the two big rival wins. Pictures

9/15/05
- Brooke Mc Donald borrowed a camera for a volleyball road trip
to Canton. The girls continued their winning ways in
Canton. As many of you know the volleyball season was moved to
the fall this year and is competing with soccer. Thanks for
the picture Brooke. Pictures

9/11/06
- I received a few email messages with pictures from some recent
youth soccer games. It is great to see all the talent that
will make it's way to the ranks of the modified and varsity
teams. Thanks to the mystery submitter. Pictures

9/11/06
- Emily Jackson borrowed a camera for last Friday's soccer
game. It was an exciting 2-0 win in overtime for the Varsity
Boys. Please feel free to borrow a camera for any of the
games. Thanks Emily. Now stay away from Amanda.

9/8/06
- Sweeping F.A. - Both varsity soccer teams won their games
Friday night. The boys won 2-0 in overtime and the girls beat
the Huskies on their own turf decisively 6-2. I was able to
catch some of the home game before I went to a 9&10 year old
game in Malone where the future of Bulldog soccer beat the future of
Malone soccer 2-1. I think Bulldog soccer has a great
future. I do have some good shots from the boy's game.
More than ever I will need help with the other games especially
since Volleyball is going on now as well. Let me know if you
can help. Pictures

|
9/7/06 - I have a
neat file for your consideration. The Spoor family sent me a
short video clip/music video from a recent Varsity Boys Soccer
game. The file has highlights, cool special effects and
more. I love it and I know you will as well. You can choose
from 3 options. Let me know if you have any problems loading
the movie clips.

9/7/06
- It was a rainy night but a brave soul grabbed the camera for
some pictures from the Modified Girls Soccer team victory last night
here at home. Anyone interested in taking pictures can stop by
in the morning to grab the camera for the games. If you go to
a game and take some pictures you are willing to share please feel
free to email
them to me, or drop by with your memory card. Pictures.
